the Beginning
Trail Life USA is a Church-Based, Christ-Centered, Boy-Focused mentoring and discipleship journey that speaks to the heart of a boy. Troop NC-0110’s name is based off Colossians 1:10, “so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.” It inspires our motto to “walk worthy!”
Established on timeless values derived from the Bible and set in the context of outdoor adventure, boys from age 5 to 17 are engaged in a troop setting by male mentors where they are challenged to grow in character, understand their purpose, serve their community, and develop practical leadership skills to carry out the mission for which they were created.
We meet at Peace Baptist Church in Wilmington, NC and offer a Christ-centered journey for boys ages 5-17. Our troop is dedicated to mentoring and discipleship, helping young boys grow in faith and character while enjoying the great outdoors. We believe in camping, gathering with our troops and competing at junctions, and hitting the trail for high adventures! Join us as we walk worthy in our mission!

We focus on developing young boys through a church-based, boy-focused approach. Our mission is to guide them in their faith and personal growth.

WHERE IT STARTS
WOOD LAND TRAIL
In this first step, boys are introduced to the program, setting the foundation for their growth and development through engaging activities and mentorship.
Foxes: Ages 5-6 (Kindergarten and 1st Grade)
Hawks: Ages 7-8 (2nd and 3rd Grade)
Mountain Lions: Ages 9-10 (4th and 5th Grade)

WHERE IT GROWS
NAVIGATORS
During this step, boys participate in various activities designed to enhance their skills, build friendships, and deepen their understanding of Christian values.
Navigators (Ages 11-13)
This middle school program helps boys understand their values and beliefs through responsible outdoor adventures and activities, guided by Christian men.

WHERE IT GOES
ADVENTURES
This step focuses on engaging boys in activities that foster growth.
Adventures (Ages 14-17)
Navigators master skills through Trail Badges, complete a significant number of community service hours, demonstrate leadership by planning and executing a Servant Leadership Project, and participate in faith-building activities and formal reviews. The goal is to build servant leaders.

WHAT IT BUILDS
MEN WHO WALK WORTHY
The final step ensures that boys are equipped with the necessary skills for their journey ahead, promoting confidence and readiness.
Boys who finish the program and complete the Freedom Award through an optional program. At age 18, boys can transition into leadership and register as an adult.
